verifyWithBiometrics
Verifies this session with a biometric credential enrolled on this app installation.
Start with startVerification and follow the returned status. A first-factor biometric verification can also satisfy an existing second-factor requirement. To request multi-factor reverification, start with SessionVerification.Level.MULTI_FACTOR, then verify the required stage. This method only accepts FIRST_FACTOR or SECOND_FACTOR, like verifyWithPasskey.
The credential must have been enrolled with BiometricCredentialPolicy.BIOMETRY_CURRENT_SET: strong biometrics without device credential fallback, invalidated when new biometrics are added. Other policies return biometric_credential_policy_incompatible; offer another reverification method in that case. Existing credentials remain usable for sign-in and are not replaced or upgraded by this method.
Reverification shares the native biometric sign-in settings; disabling biometric sign-in also disables reverification for enrolled credentials. On completion, this session's cached tokens are invalidated so the next token request obtains updated factor verification ages.
Return
The resulting verification, or an API or local biometric failure.
Parameters
